Windows 12: Is the requirements will become TOO FAR again?

Hi. I have a Win11 incompatible machine and can it not run Windows12?
and how far will the system requirements will go.

Windows 11 Require TPM 2.0, UEFI, greater than 2016 CPU.

Well, it will likely require a Microsoft Pluton chip in your CPU. So, there's that expense (plus a MB, I daresay) to possibly look forward to. Maybe it will change. @BunnyJ posted something that alluded to that it might not be a hard requirement. So, who really knows at this point. Heck, I'd be happy if they ironed out all the kinks from Windows 11. We'll see what happens.

It will unfortunate if it requires MS Pluton chip because Ryzen 6000 series is the only processor that support it. I'm readying for my first custom Windows 11 Compatible build then Windows 12 came out with the stringent system requirements.

I imagine a stable Dev build of 12 is a little down the road unless they're zombie programmers needing no sleep. By then, it might be time for a new system build for me.

So right now as it stands there are maybe only a handful of notebooks on Ryzen 6000 series (only released today) that could actually run it if Pluton is a requirement. I can't see them being that anal tbh.
Imagine if you've bought new for W11 requirements and then MS requiring you to update again. I don't think they are that daft. Could be wrong I suppose

I think the mission is to get people to buy new computers (and to make sure they can't hack the ISO and install on old ones as we do with 11!). And possibly to increase security (more security, less Windows updates needed).

I would like to see MS branch out and have two OSs. They can continue their work with Windows 11 and beyond for those of us that don't want to or can't afford to update or replace our hardware and software. The other OS can be the start of a totally new OS that doesn't have to be hindered by having to be backwards compatible.

True but why not just let 11 finish being polished! With feature updates etc. Maybe 12 will be a tweaked, more locked down version of 11 - limited to certain hardware/computers. It seems strange to think about releasing 12 so soon after 11.

I thought they were looking at changing the base architecture for Windows 12. Maybe no registry??

(Just wild conjecture.)

I'm speculating as to the reason for 12. It could be that the number of changes is so many they want to start another OS or clean slate.

Yes - You need to buy a NASA computer to run Windows 12 (Pluto chip, 512gb ram, 64eb (exabytes))
