Last One to Post Wins

It's even more miserable today, chilly, wet, breezy, and when I say chilly I mean cold. It's very overcast and grey which of course makes it dark indoors but that's better than being outside.

It's been forecast for snow over parts of the UK in the next few days whether we'll get it is another matter, we seem to have our own microclimate here and quite often we get the opposite of what they forecast.

Same here, right around freezing. Winter doesn't want to leave just yet.

The sun is here as well today, well for the time being. The wind has gone although it's still cold, there was a frost this morning so winter is still here although we put the clocks forward next weekend so we will get lighter evenings start to come in.

@Joan Archer, kind of strange that you guys are just setting your clocks ahead, we set ours back on the March 12 - 2023 ! I wish they would just leave it on daylight savings time ! Be Safe friends !

on the date of the forum, it feels like it was created before MS officially went out with saying win12 is on development... From old threads in 10forum i saw that too.. it was first named nineforum

The second thought i have as win12 is announced to be released end of 2024... if i remember right... that is a year from now.... is there a point to start being active on 11forum as i have 6 or 7 posts over there.. and soon 2000 on 10forums... So if this forum starts to become active in a year from now.... Perhaps i should stay on Ten until then and jump one, as i did from 7forum to 10forum... I am register at 8forum, but i think i have 10posts or so in there. *LOL* ... I dont even remember the password to 8forum.

I think the name ninerforums was used for the tenforums site before MS revealed the Windows 10 name to the public. John was not amused, he had to do a very quick name change for the site and its url

This site was twelveforums.com from the start. John got really miffed when someone else jumped in first and got 'elevenforums.com' before he could, so it ended up the only one in the family without the letter 'S' in its url This time round he made sure he got in first

I'm registered on all the sites, even Vista. 11F is by far and away the most active, closely followed by 10F. There are LOTPW members on 10F who haven't joined 11'F, and some 11F members who don't post on 10F. I share my time/posts equally between both.

Eight Forums is a quiet backwater now, even Vista seems to be more active. Look a bit like Seven Forums is getting quieter by the day, too.

now when you mention it.. it is lacking an S .. i never thought of it as we in sweden is saying Forum and not forums..
It didn't show much on WHOIS | Lookup Domains and Check Availability - Domain.com
but someone is keeping the domain alive, but it is not in use.

I never used Vista and i did not recommend people to switch over to Vista as XP was still supported up to the release of win7. also i skipped the cert for vista when i was studied for my different IT authorizations.. and Vista did became useless so i did a good choice skipping it

I kind of miss that the older non-supported(EOL) versions is split forums.. as it is low activity on vista, seven, eight they should be one.. or even better win1 to win1million as you saying some is on ten and some on eleven but combined they are many.

That was one thing i hated about Linux forums.. You have different forums for the different distributions(is comparable to vista, 7,8.10,11,12forums) and when you was on Debian forum and had a question about Mint, they all said.. go to MintForums and ask.. and the opposite if you was on Mint asking a question about Debian or another one... go to that forum.. end discussion.
So if you have 10computers with 10 different OS-versions. then you need to register on 10forums just in case you have ONE question, that actually applies to all versions
I have two or three times seen that on tenforums where members react with go to elevenforum even the question is valid on windows10 too.

But it might be meeeeee........ as i am lazy and likes to have everything in one grasp.
