Intel Exec Revealed a 2024 "Windows Refresh" - possibly Windows 12 ?

An Intel executive recently spoke of a coming “Windows refresh” in 2024, an obvious reference to what we believe will be called Windows 12.

“We actually think ’24 is going to be a pretty good year for client, in particular, because of the Windows refresh,” Intel CFO David Zinsner said during an appearance at the Citi analyst conference in September. “And we still think that the installed base is pretty old and does require a refresh and we think next year may be the start of that, given the Windows catalyst. So we’re optimistic about how things will play out beginning in ’24.”

I'm hoping they don't introduce any new hardware requirements.

If it's written into the code for the Installer, it can be "UN-Written". Just like what was done with Windows 11.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What is the install base for Windows 11? I suspect there is a lot of decent hardware that Win 11 won't run on without diddling the install which keeps the Win 10 numbers high and Win 11 numbers low.

Like so many other things in our lives, it all comes down to a Lack of Knowledge. Or otherwise said, "Gross Ignorance".
Thousands of people died of the Covid virus, because they listened to the Government. I didn't....and I've never had the virus.

And thousands of people say, "my computer can't run Windows 11" because they only listen to the Microsoft Fan Boys.
Again, Gross Ignorance!!! I didn't listen to that crap, and I have several very nice, but OLD PC's happily running Windows 11/Pro/64.

And, ya know what? I'll bet that someday they will all run Windows 12 too. Only time will tell, about that.
But, that's unimportant, because right now with Win-11, I have everything I need, to do what I need to do, with a Computer.

They (MS) already introduced new hardware requirements, but it was all in software and it got removed.
Those versions with the BS removed could be found on Getintopc dot com.
