- fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October.

I would really love to see Windows 12 go modular. Buy the aps you need and forget the spyware, bloatware, adware, shareware, fearware, anywhere, I don't care. Build as you go and go as you grow. Now that would be a great way to personalize your PC!

Likewise, , , I got my first copy of Win-11/Pro/64 last August (2022) and I've updated it three times since then.
Now running a version I got in Jan '23. Clean, neat, and runs GREAT. No bloatware or MS BS. Probably the smoothest install of an OS that I've ever done.
I think I'll just keep it!
