Threads with this type of title seem to pop up on every Windows site so I just thought I'd give it a push forward...not that I have anything to add. :zany:

a windows 12 iso is required. I started that thread on ElevenForum after the announcement of Windows 11. Not before Windows 12 will be leaked

"Running Windows 12 on really old hardware" ???
Well, if I'm ever going to run 12, it will have to be on OLD hardware. If my PC were any older it would run on Steam!
And I'd probably have to hand crank it to get it started in the morning.

Got my pc in 2020, runs win 11 fine with TPM 2.0. windows 12 will require all Microsoft hardware(probably :ROFLMAO:). At that point, Linux might just be the answer.

Dude, a new PC in 2020? That's almost brand new! Probably still has that NEW smell! :boom:
I'm running Win-11/Pro/64 on a PC with a bios date of 2008!
We definitely need to talk!

If Redmond wants Windows 12 to sell, then it's going to have to be somewhat Backward compatible. It can't just install and run ONLY on brand new, state of the art, computers. And if it does, the after market programmers will take out the nasties and put in some goodies, and I'll be running 12 on this OLD PC , just like every previous version of Windows.

But, as sweet as Win-11 is running on this OLD PC, I don't know, for the life of me, why I'd ever want to upgrade to anything else.
I'll definitely install 12 somewhere, (I do have 12 PC's, with six of them being 64 bit compatible) even if just for testing purposes.
In other words, just for "Fun".

Happy 4th of July, Y'all!
TM
